REFURBISHED does not mean that it was broken, damaged or otherwise defective. It is a term used to describe something that was previously purchased and perhaps never even used but returned to the store. Before it can be sold it must be inspected but cannot be sold as a NEW-UNUSED item-rather like a 'pre-owned' car. Typically there is a warranty and the accessories are included as with other models that were sold as NEW. Hope this helps!
