Q: QuestionCan you buy applecare with this watch (refurbished)?

• A:Answer No you cannot! I was misled by these answers. This is Geek Squad refurbished, not Apple refurbished and if the 60 Days from the original purchase (the one prior to it being returned or refurbished) has expired you cannot add Apple Care. This is very frustrating as I was anticipating being able to do so, but both Apple and Best Buy told me that it cannot be done.

• A:Answer It works out of the box with any Version 6 or later iphone. If by “work” you mean, does it get cellular reception out of the box, the answer is no. To have the watch accept cellular connections, you have to active the embedded LTE SIM card built into the phone. For that, you have to contact your carrier, pay an activation fee, add a monthly charge of $10. You don’t get a new line. You get the ability to share your cellular signal.

• A:Answer There is a 90 day warranty from Best Buy but no extended options are available from Best Buy, apple or even SquareTrade on a refurb.

• A:Answer Yes, it is unlocked, but it will only work with the cellular carrier that your iphone uses. The SIM share the cellular connection with your iphone carrier. It does not get its own cell number.
