A:Answer It pulls in air in, within a certain radius around it, and blows it back out to the front through a filter. So technically anything in that air; dust pet dander, odors, is "collected". it's not going to leave your home dust free if that's what you're looking for. Surfaces are still going to collect dust, because this is not an industrial air filtration system, it's an area specific air filter. That being said, having 2 indoor cats, I do appreciate it's ability to reduce some of the pet dander in the air and it does reduce some of what collects on the surfaces in my living room.
