I see it listed on Gigabytes site as being available in this model, however the difference between the 13950 & 13980 would be negligible at best I imagine as the only difference I can see is a 100Mhz bump. Both processors have the same Base Power (55w) and Maximum Turbo Power (157w) according to Intel Ark Specifications. The processor is going to throttle in almost all circumstances where there is a heavy load so I doubt you would ever see any benefit from the extra 100Mhz. I have the 17X AZF with the 13950HX. If I had to do it again, I would probably look at the Asus Strix with the 4080 as it has the same 175w power envelope. The 4090 mobile is a serious cut from the desktop equivalent which is to be expected with its huge power draw in a desktop, but Im not sure the performance difference warrants the $1000 difference in price from a 4080 Laptop with the same 175w spec. If I had to choose again, I may have gone with a 4080 laptop. GCC (Gigabyte Control Center) also leaves a LOT to be desired. I have had many gaming laptops and normally go for the higher end models. GCC is the worst Control Center app I have ever used compared to Alienware, Asus, MSI, ect. Performance is good, Screen is nice, but it is not without its flaws.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
