A:AnswerUnfortunately chrome cast runs on wifi. In addition to that, your phone and chrome cast have to be on the same wifi band to work. I ran into this problem recently as my router has 4 bands of wifi. I wanted my phone on a fast band and my chrome cast on a slower band. No can do. So back to the same band for the phone and chrome cast. Hope this helps.

A:AnswerAs long as the devices are all on the same network, you will be provided with a list of devices to connect to when you start casting. If your devices are configured correctly, it should work fine. You can use Google Home to reconfigure them if you need to. Attached is a screenshot showing what my Netflix app looks like when I tap the Cast icon. It's similar when I do it from the browser. I have casted to each without a problem.
