The reality is that it depends on what generation of camera you are using. Most of the newer Nest cameras from Google only allow video event viewing and not scrubbing and only work in the Google Home app. If you want the video scrubbing feature, you will need to buy an older Nest camera that will work in the Nest app. For me, the moment they take this feature away from older cameras (if they do), I will dump my six cameras and move to a new camera setup because this is why I invested so much into my Nest camera system. I was all in on Nest - smoke alarms and thermostat too. (Feeling a little abandoned)

Please try again later.To access your camera’s video history: - Open the Home app Google Home app. - On the home screen, select your camera. - Near the bottom of the screen, tap History. To use the Video history controls: - Slide your finger left or right on the timeline to scrub through your camera’s video history. - Tap Pause or Replay on the video window.
