So I just want a camera to check in couple of times at night when my horse is in it's stall. Just want to be able to view on my I phone. Don't really need to video anything. Barn is setting up extending wifi to stall area. What would I need to do this? null

Just a power source. Settings can configure alerts by sound, movement or nothing at all. You can check independently manually or auto alert. Very flexible

I think the nest camera would work well. Just turn off notifications so you're not receiving alerts all night. You can check in whenever you want as long as there is wifi.

Just adequate wifi and follow the simple instructions included. You do need outlets at the camera locations for power. The Nest cams should be perfect for your use except Nest notifies you of movement.

You would need access to the Wi-Fi network, the NEST app AND a source of power to plug in the camera. I use camera similarly to check on pets when out with no recording and it works well - day and night.
