You will need an Internet connection to use this camera. Comes with 25ft power cord. Zoom is manual as far as I know. All I know is that it has 130 degree wide angle and it's in 1080p with night vision. If you want video recording you will have to subscribe to Nest Aware which uses cloud servers and they are 10 or 30 days of video history. This is most of what you were asking but if you have more questions I would go to their website.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Please read the product information, as most of your questions are answered directly from Nest. In order: - No, you can't hook it up without Internet. It's not a local recording device - There is a 25 foot plug included in the packaging - Camera has up to 8x digital zoom - Camera has 130 degree field of vision. With 1080p recording, the distance is pretty far, but don't expect full detail of anything more than about 20-25 feet away - Camera recording time is based on your subscription. 3 hours for no subscription. 10 days for $100/year plan, or 30 days for $300/year plan. No local recording. Using the website you can make clips, which can be viewed online, or downloaded in MP4 format (I think you need a subscription plan to make clips).
