- Answer The camera can handle that as long as you can hang it high enough to get the perspective. One camera that I have covers a 1/2 acre.

- Answer If you don't have an outdoor outlet, you can use a light socket adapter, which converts a porch or landscaping light into a power outlet. Only use the power adapter and cable that is included with your camera. Third party cables and adapters may not work with your camera and could damage it. We recommend using only an electrical outlet equipped with a ground fault circuit interrupter (look for “Test” and “Reset” buttons on your outlet). - Answer It is recommended to use a range extender from the same manufacturer as your router. Generally speaking, products from the same brand will work better together. If you can’t use the same brand, contact the manufacturer for recommended extender settings that will work with your router. Set the new access point to work in bridge mode. Aside from that, the basic settings such as password and encryption should be the same as your existing router. For simplicity, set the access point to broadcast the same network name (SSID). It’s not necessary, but doing this can make connecting to your network less confusing.

QuestionWhat is the maximum operating distance between camera and router? I'm looking to have these located over 500' from my house and 150' from a barn arena. Are the recordings done over a WiFi network? I have power and phones located at the barn.

- Answer Yes everything is don’t through WiFi. I really like the cameras but we did have to set up an extender to reach the second floor in the opposite corner of our house from where our WiFi router is located approximately 75’.

- Answer Yes. Your video is saved on a rolling basis, so your oldest recorded video automatically expires to make room for new video. Keep in mind that you will need a Nest Aware subscription for the best experience with all the video recording features of Nest Cam Outdoor. - Answer I don't see why not. I just set up ours yesterday, and each camera has a unique code/serial number, so signing up one with one Nest account and one with another should be no problem at all.

- Answer It records to the cloud so it’s never really “full”. However it keeps only 30 days worth of recordings in the server, so if you have something you’d like to keep you should save it before the 30 days are up.

- Answer I don't know the exact distance but it is a long way. Far enough away for most people. You can change that by pointing your camera down so not to pick up movement on the street for example.

QuestionHow does this mount to Stucco?

- Answer Recommend using small stucco screws of a size similar to the ones that come with the Nest. The good screws come with a special drill bit for drilling a hole for screws to thread into without chipping. You could also use small plastic wall anchors by carefully drilling holes for the anchors, squirting some silicone caulk into the holes, & then installing the anchors. After letting the caulk dry, then you can install the Nest base with the screws into the wall anchors.
