- Answer If you just want to have 24/7 live streaming, and receive alerts of motion and sound, then you wouldn't need any type of subscription. - Answer Im no pro, but 6mps is pretty slow. I think the live streaming would be jittery because of the speed. If you’re going to go high tech for a Nest Home, then you might want to consider updating your network speed first.

- Answer I'm not an electrician, but if your doorbell is not sitting out in the hot summer sun, then the devise should not fell hot. Mine is in a covered porch and the summer heat can get well over 100 degrees for several days at a time. It has never felt hot to the touch.

QuestionSince the Nest Hello is hardwired into the homes existing chime, is their a way to silence it during certain times? My kids nap around 1pm - 3pm and would like to silence the doorbell during those times. I would only want an alert on my phone during naps.

QuestionThe tech specs for the Hello show an outside operating temperature range of +14F to +104F. What happens in winter when temperatures can be below +14F for extended periods? What happens when any present moisture freezes? Does the warranty remain valid?

- Answer The operating temperature range is for the internal operating temperature and not for the ambient temperature around the Nest Hello. The Nest Hello has a built in heat sync, and since this is designed to be on and running 24/7 the heat sync is expected to help prevent the internal operating temperature from dropping below 14 degrees in most conditions. If an issue arrises due to the temperature of the Nest Hello dropping too low, feel free to reach out to our support for assistance. Nest.com/help

We provide our API publicly to allow other companies to incorporate our products into their own apps.

- Answer As with any electronic device, try power cycling it. In this case, disconnect the power wire going to the doorbell and leave it disconnected for a few minutes before reconnecting.

QuestionI followed the instructions to installing the wired doorbell. Put a new chime and transformer in. Every time I turn the power back on to the doorbell chimes it buzzes really loud and starts to burn up. What could this be? I have tried everything? thank

- Answer The transformer on your chime might be too strong. If you have any google speaker type of devices you can use those as chimes.
