You can control heating and cooling remotely with this device . I think you are correct and will probably need 3 separate units for 3 zones, but I recommend checking with Google/nest tech support to be certain. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We have two separate Nest thermostats one for heat/cool upstairs and one for a separate heat/cool system downstairs. You can set schedules and preferred temperatures for each one, specific to the different locations. We control them all (multiple family members) thru the Google Home app.
