Yes, turn off auto/eco modes and program it manually, here's the guide you're looking for: https://nest.com/support/article/How-do-I-turn-off-Nest-Auto-Schedule-learning-and-use-Nest-as-a-programmable-thermostat
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It wont send you an alert but as long as the equipment on site doesn't have an issue it will keep it within 1-2 degrees of what you have it set to depending on the outside temp.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can set up Eco temperatures - thermostat will automatically turn on/off when it drops/goes up to certain temps (how you want to set it up). About alert - Im not sure about it, nut you can always download an app on your phone and see temp inside your cabin remotely.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it can maintain the temperature at 40 while you're away. As for the notification, Nest Thermostat is integrated with IFTTT, so you can set a rule to alert you when it drops below a specific temperature
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure about alert but you do have the option to set the desired temperature when you are not there by using the Eco temperatures setting for hot and cold weather through Nest App. Also, you can check anytime on your Nest App home screen the outside and inside temperature.
