Questiondoes this thermostat require wire C?

- Answer No. It does not require the C (usually Black or Blue colored) wire. It can work without that. The C wire normally supplies power to keep the Thermostat ON. The E model comes with its own battery that charges itself using your heating and cooling system wires. If required, you can pop off the top and find the micro-USB port on the back and simply charge it for about an hour like you would do with a cell phone.

- Answer You can have as many devices logged into the same account as needed, and if you'd like to have guests access the account, you can set up a family account so you don't have to share your personal login information with them. QuestionCan this be installed in a travel trailer ?

- Answer The Nest E requires existing solid copper HVAC wires pushing 24V in order to work as expected, and also requires a constant connection to power to allow the display to remain charged, so this isn't recommended to be used in a travel trailer.

- Answer If you have two existing thermostats to control the two zones in your home, then you would need to replace both with Nests if you'd like to remotely control both zones through the Nest app.

- Answer I believe it will but just as a basic thermostat! It works off of WiFi ,not wired CAT-5. So not having internet kind of defeats the purpose of having this Thermostat. The ECO setting would not function correctly because it works with the outside air temps ( it gets local weather info from setting your zip code during setup) and you would not be able to control it from your phone or tablet etc.

- Answer If all of the thermostats in your home are Nest Thermostats, an older version and a newer version will work together no problem through the Nest app.

- Answer Yes, it will work with Google Assistant. Set it up as a smart home device in the Google Home app. There are online best-match tools to find if it will work with your wall heater - my guess is that it won't, but one of the higher end Nest thermostats might. The display is a muted display of two or three icons. They automatically blank after 10 seconds when you walk away. Yes, all the features are available from the Nest app.
