The Nest WiFi will plug into any general ISP router and from experience it is faster and more reliable than xfinity products for WiFi. The mesh capability is a big boost if it is needed to gain stronger signals in other floors or in outdoor areas.

I have no idea if it would be faster than your Linksys EA8300. Look at the specifications for both devices to determine which is faster, but neither of them will be faster than your modem.
