QuestionI wanted to verify that this system can only handle 5 units total, 1 main router and 4 "points", also how far away can a point be from the main router? I want one in my barn/shop and that would be about 150 feet between that point and the main router

- Answer 150 feet may be at the absolute outer range of what these can accommodate from what I have observed. I have a 3 unit system and each device is only 1 floor apart in a slightly staggered fashion. When I move them more than maybe 50 feet from each other there is a noticeable drop off in signal strength. The real question is will that distance you mention be behind thick walls and what kind of other obstacles would be present.

- Answer Its a wifi mesh network. Not a nest hub. So anything that is wifi enabled can connect to it.

- Answer My install went without a hitch. I connected then to my Xfinity moden/wireless router and it worked without a hitch. I thoughtbI would have to put the router into bridge mode but didn't need to change any Xfinity settings. Super easy! FYI- I did however use a different SSID name to avoid handoff issues and make it easier to track network coverage and speed.

QuestionI am using Windstream with an Arris WiF 6 modem T3280 and a Arris Touchstone CM8200 router. Will the pro work with these products and what speed should I expect?

- Answer I suspect this system will REPLACE your router, but not the modem. I'm confused buy the name "Arris WiF 6 modem", as the modem connects your private network to the ISP's network. If that unit also has WiFi 6 support, it likely is a modem AND the gateway for your home network. If that's the case, I don't think you can add any Nest Wifi Pro 6E unit to the configuration.

QuestionI currently have the H2D – AC2200. I have many reserved IP addresses. Cameras, synology and so. Can I migrate the current setup to this or do I have to start over?

- Answer Yes you can migrate. All you have to do is use the same user name and password. Make sure you delete any apps of the previous router so it won’t block the setup. I did and it worked fine, I had 1 device out of 55 that didn’t migrate.

- Answer 6e will be your wireless back hall if you don’t have the cables pre installed. So you’ll have 2.4 and 5 gh for devices. Not many WiFi 6 devices except maybe iPhone 15/16. Some other smart home devices. Soon WiFi 7 devices will hit the market.

- Answer It should but I would ask the geek squad. I had it and worked great with spectrum. Had to change it because it didn’t have a dedicated 2.4 mhz and I needed that to use my robot cleaner.

- Answer Unfortunately, there is no modem built-in. An external modem will be required for the Nest WiFi Pro. Depending on your ISP you may be able to purchase a third-party modem solution, otherwise this would need to be supplied by your provider.

- Answer Correct. Only one router serves as the actual router, where the other serves much like an extender. The Nest WiFi Pro does support wired backhaul, which would improve speeds while connected to the different nodes throughout your home, so if you can support this feature, I would definitely suggest doing so.
