• It doesn't look like Vchannel is compatible with the Nexus Player.

• Yea there is a google play store that you can download a decent amount of apps just for warning you only have 8gb of space which is actually less Given the operational software. You can get a usb to female cable cheap And ad a memory card mines 64gb but not every app will transfer to the memory card just FYI
