It does not have that functionality built in. However, I use a media center pc running windows 7 and use a piece of software I found called Kodi (formerly known as XBMC) and it has a client for the Nexus Player. This allows me to view my over the air channels that I watch and record on my media center machine and also access my recorded programs. This has worked extremely well. I didn't buy the device with this in mind, but am very happy with this setup now. However, the device itself, does not have inputs for cable or tv on it physically, so you'ld have to do that through software to some other system.

lookup sling tv app or if you plan to keep a cable subscription there are many apps like ABC, CBS, NBC that can be activated and used on this but require cable subscription. Just make sure your provider supports Android TV, Comcast currently does not.

It doesnt integrate with a cable/antenna source like the old GTV platform did, however, there are apps you can install to stream many sources. If you are trying to "cut the cord", I advise a good antenna for local TV on 1 input of your TV and this on another input for online content and streams.

No. However, if your TV provider has an app that allows you to watch live tv on your android device then it's very possible. The nexus player runs android and works the same when it comes to apps. You'll access the play store and download whatever you need.
