I would say if you buy the phone from Verizon it's not going to be unlocked. You have to order the phone online and then make sure you tell them you want it unlocked. That's what I had to do when I bought my phone. But you could always ask them.

Please try again later.If you buy the "unlocked" version it would come unlocked. if you buy the Verizon variant, then you need to wait until Verizon unlocks it (typically after 60 days). You can buy the "unlocked" version with Verizon activation for 299. That would allow you to bring it overseas to use with international sim cards.
