• It's quite common for people to have a surplus of USB power adapters, so it makes sense for companies to not waste the money, packaging, and landfill space by including yet another generic USB power block. Just use one of the several you probably already have.

• Unfortunately, this is not a rare occurrence in the tech space, today you can buy lots of $1k + phones that won't come with a power brick and there is even less chance you will get one with a smart watch. Sadly this is were the industry has gotten.
