I think it should work, I did not used it for scuba diving. It is hollow so with water pressure it might leak into it. It will not rust. I used it mainly for snorkeling and not once did water leaked inside the tube, water will leak inside if you try to adjust the length of the pole in the water. Make sure you adjust to the length you need before you go in the water.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the Evo is the great for scuba diving! It is rated up to 200 feet, or 60 meters, and will float in the event that you were to let go of the camera. It is buoyant, will not pull to the surface hard while underwater. - Justin

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure go pros can go that deep. The pole will hold though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This product definitely will not rust! I have taken it underwater in the lake and in pools but not in 60 feet yet. However, I do not see any reason why it would not work perfectly!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it would work for underwater. Only issue is that over a few minutes the pole will start to fill with water. Wouldn't recommend for long scuba dives.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So far no rust bust we have not used it in salt water only on the lake and in the pool.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No - the pole will not be able to withstand the pressure difference. Since it is filled with air, it would be compressed as you descended. I would recommend a non-floating pole.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
