I took the GoPro Hero on a Kayak trip in FL Everglades. I had the GoPro attached to the kayak in front of me and it got wet often from the paddle. Another time while trying to capture some fish underwater, I had the GoPro video taping and then plunged it underwater to get a video of the fish underwater. I did that twice throughout the trip - it worked fine. Even the audio was picked up with the cool gurgle of the water.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are two cases included with the camera. One that has the open USB connection, a second that is waterproof, and you have to open it to connect USB.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The camera comes with a solid back. It prevents water coming in. If you were to use the skeleton backing with openings in it then water will get in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine has worked great. takes great photos and videos underwater, have used multiple times while snorkeling and kayaking without any problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The backdoor that comes on out of the box is totally sealed for waterproof recording. There is a second door you can attach that leaved the memory card and USB ports naked
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The usb port is actually inside the case. The waterproof back protects the port but to charge it or download, you need to open the door. So don't download in the pool. ;)
