• This is the GoPro HERO, which launched in March 2018 after the HERO6 Black came out, and before the HERO7 models debuted. It is sometimes called the HERO (2018).

• It is a GoPro Hero HD. It is very close to the Hero 5 Black, which has been replaced by the Hero 7 Black. If you don't need the performance and features of the Hero 7 Black, the Hero HD is worth considering. but compare the specs and your needs, particularly in the Image Stabilization area. My application was described in my review of the Hero HD. I tried 3 of the less expensive Action Cameras for projecting live video, but they all repeated the camera status information around the edges of the camera display, in the live HDMI output and projected image. GoPro does not. To my knowledge, recordings on the internal microSD card do not have the camera status information in most cameras, but I have not tried it.
