I highly recommend it for beginners I know nothing about videos I'm creating a YouTube channel and my GoPro was the easiest thing I could learn it's the video editing that's very hard but yes it is very good for beginners as far as audio there are mics that are options it does pick up good audio and as always the better quality Mike that you add the better quality sound you're going to get I purchased the GoPro media mod and it helped with the wind noise and background noise it has the mic on top with the foam around it best part is not only does it help with the sound but it adds the ability to attach lights and mics and different stuff highly recommend it the media mod is under the cameras bottom right corner in this picture hope this helps

It does have some advanced settings if you want to customize your setup, but for everyday shooting, the HERO10 Black is easy to use with the basic settings. The HERO10 Black has its own mics, which should be great for most uses. If you find that you want to connect specialized mics, you can do that too with the use of the GoPro Media Mod.
