“When hunting I turned it on, I using head strap. The battery didn’t last long at all. I thought when the screen shut off it went to sleep saving battery. Any recommendations would be great! I used a remote also.”

The screen turning off is a screensaver function that can save some battery, but the GoPro is going to keep some operations running, especially if it needs to stay paired to your Smart Remote. Depending on your settings though, you should get between 45 minutes and 90 minutes of recording time off of a full charge. The easiest option for longer power times beyond that would be to bring along some spare batteries, or even to bring a backup power pack that you can connect to the GoPro.
