• You can control it over WiFi too but the software is glitchy and the voice commands are worse.

• You can connect the MAX to your phone when using the GoPro app. From the app, you can preview your shot, watch shots you've already recorded, pick the settings you want to use, start/stop recording and take photos, and more.
