Q: QuestionWhat causes these pots and pans to not be safe for a glass top range? Please explain in as much detail as possible. Thanks
Asked by LittleRe.
- A:Answer With glass top ranges you should always Use lightweight cookware with smooth, flat bottoms. You should only use pots and pans made from stainless steel or heavy-duty aluminum. Cookware you should never use is Copper, Copper coated, and enameled pots. These are all notorious for leaving behind residue that cannot be cleaned off that will eventually build up on your glass cook top and eventually lead to poor performance and possible cracks. Additionally Cast iron, porcelain and ceramic cookware are all usually heavy and often has a rough bottom, increasing the likelihood of scratches when moved across the glass stove top surface.
