Do you need a computer to set up this wifi radio null

You will need WIFI. Not necessarily a computer, however if you wish to take advantage of some of the extra features, including Pandora, you will want to register the radio online. I suppose you could do it on a smart phone or tablet, but it would be a little more difficult.
