“When plugging in my charger the green light stays solid but the actual charger does not come on only silence.”

Hello there - A solid green light indicates that the battery is fully charged. Please, try using the battery in the unit. Press and hold the ON switch safety lock out button, while continuing to push it in pull back on the bale. Hoping this was maybe a misstep and will be able to correct with these instructions.
