Hello hansmoleman007 - The Pole hedge trimmer reach is approximately 8.6 ft. The total reach is given from the average height of a 6ft person reaching with the tool. The reach is dependent on the user, when we advise reach it's based on length of the unit plus the average person's reach. We hope this information has helped.
