I also have a 3/4 acre lot and had plenty of stakes and wire. You can buy extra wire if you need it. Yes the wire goes around all the objects you mentioned. If you have a hard vertical surface (e.g. planter made out of brick) the bumper on the mower will sense it and go around it. This mower is not trained through GPS.
