Hi there, thanks for your question! Based on the unit's installation instructions, we're seeing that you would need 1" minimum of air clearance on the sides of the unit and the top as well. The back of the unit needs, at least, 2" of air clearance. Based on that information, a 33" wide cutout space would not be wide enough for this unit.
