Hi, those are all great questions! We're glad you're considering this Built-In Dishwasher, and we'd like to offer some assistance. We found that this appliance should drain through the bottom. We also determined a new sink drain pipe shouldn't be necessary. We highly suggest looking at the Owner's Manual and assessing your space before installation.
