It's a coated steel oil tank. It cleans up very easily with a regular plastic (non metal) scrubber sponge. I've had no problem with any sticking or buildup at all. I've only cleaned mine by hand so far, but I'm sure it would do well if I just popped it in the dishwasher.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the tank is a heavy resin pr plastic and it lifts out of the frame easy each part can be cleaned separate. for the left over oil if you have cheese cloth and a funnel you can strain it and restore it in a empty oil container, by doing this you can use the same oil 3 to 7 times depending on what you are cooking in it. heavy fatty foods like chicken or fish can make the oil go bad faster and any one with a food allergy should use clean oil and not mix fix or chicken if there is a risk of allergy. even cooking items like this if you strain the oil you will still get 3 good cooks out of it before you will need to through it out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.tank is non stick metal. it is removable for cleaning
