Thank you for your question. No, this product should not be used with an extension cord.The odor eliminator is great for eliminating odors and freshening the air. You may be interesting in checking out one of our air purifiers, such as the model 04383, which is great for capturing particulates from pet dander, dust, dust mite debris, pollen and mold/mildew spores.
