Yes, Geek Squad did just that for me, installing a SanDisk Ultra II into my ~5yo MacBook Pro. Disc install accomplished; but data transfer ran into an issue b/c of corrupted hard disc (which was the driving reason behind me getting the new disc.) Geeks made the right decision & stopped trying to transfer data b/c of the way disc was being eaten by whatever corrupted it upon every access; Best Buy refunded the prepaid data transfer fee. I then restored from my Time Machine backup & am back in business. Glad I didn't try to do the install/transfer myself. I knew there was something wrong with the disc, but not what. Love the increased speed of the SSD - it's a whole new machine!
