    Repairing a Dell Laptop

    I took two computers to be fixed at Geek Squad. One laptop and one desktop. I didn’t know I was supposed to make separate appointments for each one of them. Well, Geek Squad took both on only one appointment. They started checking my laptop first, and the problem was the HD. Needed to be replaced. They showed me the options and recommended one. I trust them and bought a WD one. Repair took about 45 minutes. They installed the HD, installed Windows, and also installed their Virus Protection. They did a lot of good to my computer which I was about to trash it. Now I have a new computer, fast, working smoothly, and all looking good. I am very happy with it. Thanks GS. You guys are the best!

    Made an appointment a week ago, came in 15 minutes early today to friendly staff from the door greeter, customer service and my final stop with the Geek Squad. We braved much snow to have a new power supply put into our daughters PC and good graphics card and double check my selection of RAM. As this was the one and only request this year we really wanted to make it happen. I apologize for not recalling the gentleman's name who assisted us, but it was fantastic service that all stores should strive for. First we discussed our needs and he smartly secured our computer away from the public, then walked us to the parts we needed and made proper recommendation's. Very informative and listened to all my questions, collected everything we needed and after paying we went to lunch then came back 3 hours later and our girls Christmas was saved :) Thank you one and all for an easy and honest affordable computer upgrade.

    I had to RMA my screen due to backlight bleed out of the box and it was covered under manufacture warranty. In the end Carlo was able to get my device fixed and working as it should and that’s all I could ask for. Thanks 100000000x. Saved the day/week/month/year!

    Great graphics card for Inspiron Dell Windows 10

    This graphics card was recommended by the Genius tech at Best Buy and he was absolutely correct. The graphics are clear and very high definition is possible. I play graphics games, surf the internet and post pictures using this card. It works very well.

    At least two years before, I had brought my laptop in to get its RAM upgraded to 32gb. After making an appointment, I took it to the service desk. Soon enough I received my computer back, and it had the RAM upgrade. Functioned perfectly with no issues. No loose screws on the covering and no hardware issue with the RAM when they reassembled it. Skip to this year, and I brought my gaming laptop in to get an SSD installed. The computer already had one open slot for an SSD stick left, so all they did was just pop it in there. Stick formatted, ensured it works properly, all is good. I received my computer back and like my laptop before, no loose screws and the hardware worked perfectly with no issues. Overall, a very reliable service.

    I had a great experience with Geek Squad. The Delano and Joel were incredibly knowledgeable and patient throughout the whole process. I had a hard time explaining exactly what I needed, but they still understood right away and pointed me in the right direction. They answered all my questions without rushing me and made everything feel easy and stress-free. You can tell they really know their stuff. Definitely a 5-star experience!

    Lary (one r) in store was great to work with. I needed to transfer music and photo files from an old and almost dead computer. Lary recommended an external drive and made the transfer happen. I have worked with Lary before and was happy to see him when I entered the store.

    We LOVE our local Geek Squad! They have taken care of every issue we've had, installed new software, transferred existing systems to new systems - I cannot say enough about the top quality service that is always provided. More times than I can count, the estimated time to finish is always exceeded, generally in half the time expected. Running 3 businesses, this is incredibly important for us to not be without our equipment for long. In over 15yrs, they've never let us down even once. I depend on their knowledge of computers (what we use them for) to get us the speed, storage and programs we need to help us continue to run as efficiently as possible.

    I had a hard drive go bad on a refurbish I purchased through Best Buy 4 months previously. Of course the primary company I received it from Micro Corp, did not warranty the issue past 60 days. To add to my problem when I brought my computer to the Best Buy Sarasota, University Parkway Store for service, no one could even find proof that I had purchased the unit through Best Buy. Because it was shipped from another refurbishing company, although I had a billing statement with the exact amount of the unit showing clearly, this did not meet with store repair policy. Not the store or Geek Squad's fault, but a mistake on the part of corporate billing. We fumbled through multiple account numbers, birth dates, phone numbers, nothing on record that I had ever even purchased the computer, which was a piece of electronics that was vital to my income. Nothing on the computer showed in the records from corporate, as if I did not exist except for thankfully a WiFi adapter I purchased that very same day. Needless to say I was beyond the point of frustrated. They were both purchased the same day, with the exact same account. Without any record of my purchase through Best Buy, I was just another customer off the street, and my unit would have to be shipped out for costly repairs. This was unacceptable in my eyes! I was about to drop the computer in the middle of the store, and say good-bye to Best Buy forever. One of the store management team (let’s call him Jimmy) noticed that I was NOT pleased, and as I was getting ready to leave - NEVER to return to Best Buy to purchase as much as a mouse pad! He asked if he could see my information one more time, and if I would give him a few more minutes to try a trick he thought might solve the problem. It worked. He found proof of my purchase - although not under warranty - and then proceeded directly to Reid and Jade at the Geek Squad repair area, where they set me up with a replacement hard drive, plus immediate - discounted labor for installation. The loss of documentation was not the store employees fault, neither was the defective hard drive from Micro Corp., but the Sarasota University Parkway Store Geek Squad went the extra mile to turn a furious customer, a lost customer for Best Buy, into a customer who will now remain loyal to Best Buy by referring friends, and NEVER purchasing electronics from another entity. Customer service is vitally important in my eyes, and in this instance it was impeccable, as the Geek Squad saved Best Buy from losing a customer! Thanks Geeks!
