I had a hard drive go bad on a refurbish I purchased through Best Buy 4 months previously. Of course the primary company I received it from Micro Corp, did not warranty the issue past 60 days. To add to my problem when I brought my computer to the Best Buy Sarasota, University Parkway Store for service, no one could even find proof that I had purchased the unit through Best Buy. Because it was shipped from another refurbishing company, although I had a billing statement with the exact amount of the unit showing clearly, this did not meet with store repair policy. Not the store or Geek Squad's fault, but a mistake on the part of corporate billing. We fumbled through multiple account numbers, birth dates, phone numbers, nothing on record that I had ever even purchased the computer, which was a piece of electronics that was vital to my income. Nothing on the computer showed in the records from corporate, as if I did not exist except for thankfully a WiFi adapter I purchased that very same day. Needless to say I was beyond the point of frustrated. They were both purchased the same day, with the exact same account. Without any record of my purchase through Best Buy, I was just another customer off the street, and my unit would have to be shipped out for costly repairs. This was unacceptable in my eyes! I was about to drop the computer in the middle of the store, and say good-bye to Best Buy forever. One of the store management team (let’s call him Jimmy) noticed that I was NOT pleased, and as I was getting ready to leave - NEVER to return to Best Buy to purchase as much as a mouse pad! He asked if he could see my information one more time, and if I would give him a few more minutes to try a trick he thought might solve the problem. It worked. He found proof of my purchase - although not under warranty - and then proceeded directly to Reid and Jade at the Geek Squad repair area, where they set me up with a replacement hard drive, plus immediate - discounted labor for installation. The loss of documentation was not the store employees fault, neither was the defective hard drive from Micro Corp., but the Sarasota University Parkway Store Geek Squad went the extra mile to turn a furious customer, a lost customer for Best Buy, into a customer who will now remain loyal to Best Buy by referring friends, and NEVER purchasing electronics from another entity. Customer service is vitally important in my eyes, and in this instance it was impeccable, as the Geek Squad saved Best Buy from losing a customer! Thanks Geeks!

They did a great job installing an extra 2 Tera Byte to my hard drive.

Geek Squad installed a new hard drive to replace a failing unit in my laptop. Interaction with the tech reps was pleasant and the job was done quickly at a reasonable price.

Needed a new battery in our rather old laptop ... extremely helpful - no charge to ascertain the problem, then minimal charge to install the new battery. Further, I did not have an appointment - they worked me into their schedule very quickly - much appreciated!

HASSLE FREE SERVICE!!!! Within 45 minutes, the Geek Squad was able to install, initialize and configure a RAM chip into my parents' laptop I had purchased in the past but never got around to. They were knowledgeable, efficient and they even cleaned out the laptop as well free of charge. Their service was top-notch, professional & of an excellent value. I would highly recommend their services! Nothing but positive things to say about the local Best Buy Geek Squad! FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!

I purchased a 1TB SSD to replace a failed hard drive in my laptop and my local Geek Squad guys installed it for free under the Total Tech Support plan. They also transferred the data from my old drive to the new one and installed Webroot internet security software on the new drive, also at no charge. Everything works great!

I has alot of data on my old cellphone. The Geek Squad was able to transfer the data to my new cellphone without any loss. The technician was very helpful in setting up a few features for me. It was well worth the cost.

They installed The harddrive into My PC and e4ven put in some parts which were missing which I wasn't even aware of, they did a great job and I'm Thankful I went to best buy as If i tried myself, surely it'd have been a miserable and stressful failure. Thank you Geek squad.

Extremely fast, zero issues with my installation!!

Geek Squad did a wonderful job with the installation. The computer works wonderfully. The agent who rang us up was wonderful and knowledgeable. The product is perfect for our needs. The only problem we has was when we went to pick up our computer, we waited for 20 min. and no one acknowledged that we were there. I had to go around to two people sitting in chairs chatting with each other to ask for help. The young man (Manager) said he would send someone over. Then they continued with their conversation after a bit the manager called someone out from the back. To bring us our computer and check us out.

In a previous rating I stated that if you can buy it at BestBuy, you should start there first. Prompt service, educated sales people, and their Geek Squad is the same quality. My upgrade was done on time, quick in and out. Because of the experience in buying the right television to fit my needs, I went back for other items needed for other interests.

My power supply fan went on my pc and it had to be replaced so i did some shopping around and BestBuy had the best prices and what i needed. Edgard in geek squad suggested i get the EVGA - 80 PLUS 600W and installed it faster than he said would take to do. However; once home and reconnected my pc had issues connecting my Bose speakers again and suffice to say i was upset. I called and informed them for the issue and that i would be returning with the computer shortly but was informed that the tech who serviced my computer would be leaving before i got there. I was raging took my pc for a simple repair and it got jacked up in the process . Once i entered the store went directly to geek squad and had full intentions of giving them an ear full. I was met by David the geek squad supervisor and was completely disarmed. Most likely he was informed of my pending arrival and was quick to ensure that they would work relentlessly to find out what was wrong and get my pc back to its original running order. What impressed me more was that Edgard remained in the store to help resolve my issues despite that his shift was over and that he needed to leave. Talk about dedication. As Edgard worked with my pc to figure out the problem David continually stopped by to check out the progress. The speakers would work than stop repeatedly and David informed me that he was going to provide me a courtesy and instructed Edgard to use the stick. Apparently some important updates needed to be applied that I didn't know of which made me feel a bit embarrassed. I ended up being more mad of myself than anything. Edgard took the time to show me what I needed to do in the future similar issues arise and basically went above and beyond what he needed to do besides the repairs. I am no means a computer pro but they made it easy for me to understand. Edgar and David didn't treat me as if it was a job to do. They were truly concerned that not only that my pc was restored but also that i was happy with the service provided. This was the first time I have used their services and while it was a rocky start they finished it as pros. Dang straight I will be back there should I have future issues and most definitely will refer to anyone else who as issues.

Everything works great! Asked for a Power Supply installation and I have had 0 problems ever since! They also gave me a little cleaning from the looks of it. 10/10

Very impressed with the speed of turn around time and completely satisfied with their installation services. No high pressure either! When my brother recommended I replace my hdd with a ssd, he also added that my particular laptop model does not make it easy for someone to self install the drive. So the Geeks were great and they reinstalled Windows 10 after the replacement. However, I did not elect to have them retrieve the old drive's contents and transfer to the new drive.

Normally I would install the new power supply and video board, but my son said that it was a lot harder on these new computers and HE paid to have it done. They did a great job and was completed days before I was expecting it to be done. We live over a hour away from the store and we should have stayed in town! It was that quick. The need to make appointments is a nuisance, but it really does make things go quicker and easier. I will use them again.

Frank is the best. Not only his knowledge and clear explanations are amazing, but he is really a great IT problems’ solver. He was able to retrieve all my pictures from a totally black broken screen from my Samsung phone when it was impossible to see and enter my password. All got saved on my Google photos which I could then also access from my new IPhone 14 Pro. The quality of his service and the price was unbeatable. I had gone to various specialist’s stores prior to finding him at that Best Buy location closest to the Domain. I kept being given very little chance to get my pictures back. I was quoted over $300 to change my screen with no guarantee of retrieving all. I have kept recommending Frank since, and I am about to schedule some sessions with him again to improve my knowledge and optimize my usage of my computer, phone, and watch. Thank you again Frank

Had to have Windows 11 reinstalled on my system, to it in to Best Buy in Saratoga Springs. System was reinstalled as i waited, i was in and out of the store within an hour. Great timely service.

Zach was super kind and very knowledgeable about what he was doing. He had let me know his shift was ending soon so he installed the hardware right away before he was done for the day so I was able to take my computer home with me that day instead of having to go back for it at a later date which I appreciated immensely.

Geek Squad agents helped resolve my HP laptop issues, were very professional, listened intently and asked questions until they thoroughly understood my situation. The support program is worth its weight in gold and will save you money. Was treated with dignity and respect.
