I have the older connect and tried the newer duo. I think I had better luck with the older connect. If you check out the HDHomerun forums you'll find lots of Connect Duo and Quattro posts where the complaint is about tuner issues. Best Buy is pretty good about returning items no questions asked, you might try one. If you're not happy you can always return it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have an older HDHomeRun connect and a HDHomeRun Extender. Both are the 2 tuner versions and are a few years old. The quatro seems to be better at tuning and holding channels so far. But I haven't done any scientific tests to confirm my subjective opinion. I can tell you that I get more channels than I did previously, but I don't know if maybe the local stations didn't just add some channels.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not have the older model but picked up 58 stations with no problems. I was amazed and the search is the fastest I have ever seen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased this new quad unit to increase my number of tuners from two to six. When I put them on line together I get the same number of channels on both devices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I get the same channels on the Quattro as I got with the duo. These also match the channels I get with just my TV.
