When you install this device, you have to disconnect your outside antenna from your TV and connect it to this. It is also connected to your ethernet cable and to power. Next you have to down load the HD Homerun app on any of your network connected devices that you want to watch your local channels on. Install it on your computer and run the app. It will scan for local channels and finish the set up of your HD Homerun device. You can also install the app on Apple TV, Android boxes such as Nvidia shield, etc. That will allow you to watch your channels on them. For example, I have HD Homerun app on my desktop, Iphone 8, Apple TV and Nvidia shield. One note,,, this will not record, that is a service that is offered in the app for $35 / yr. but is not required if you just want to view.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Use it like normal - if normal is like a website, or app through either the smart tv or some device. Windows media player can even stream the channels. Device is not connected directly to the tv (or passthrough) - would be nice. Need a network to "share" the channels and watch tv.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Do you need special equipment to get channels you would get on cable, I have a Phillip's smart TV what do I need? I'm on disability and can't afford it. I have comcast paying 200.00 a month! Please help
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You'll need a device that can run the HD HomeRun app, or is compatible and can see the 'network tuner.' My Xiomi MiBox sees the HD HomeRun as a 'network tuner' and can directly include the found channels in it's own 'live TV' function. Or, I can run the HD HR app on the device and access the other HD HR functions, like DVR.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the Connect Quatro connects to your antenna and then distributes the signal on your local network. You can watch them through the HDHomerun application installed on a PCs or mobile devices. I only have Amazon Fireticks, so I integrated the Connect Quatro into my Plex install and then installed Plex on my Firesticks. Firesticks at this time do not have the HDHomerun application unless you are interested in side loading the application on your Firestick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You watch them through a device. What the HDHomeRun does is put TV on your local network that can then be accessed by all of your smart devices, like Amazon Fires or iPads or Xbox Ones.
