“Does it have to be electrically connected to a router via ethernet or can you connect via wifi? I want to use an OTA antenna in a different room from my router. If the former, what is the max ethernet cable length? Thanks, AG”

For the best performance, the HDhomerun should be hardwired to your router via ethernet, cat 5 has a length limit of 100 meters.

No wifi connection, must be wired ethernet. Max length of wired ethernet is 328 feet. Hope this helps. Choppy

Must be connected via cat5 wire. Cat5 is 300' per run without a repeater/switch to extend it.
