I don't have comcast anymore, but the last time I had the service, they encrypt all their channels and you get one unencrypted channel that is a Comcast ad. For local HD channels, you will still need an antenna. Not sure if Comcast has changed. It's been 3 years since I had Comcast. You can easily test by plugging the cable into your TV and have the TV search for available channels.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You'll need an HD antenna for sure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need a regular OTA TV antenna. I recommend a simple outdoor $29 antenna form BestBuy and place it in the garage or attic.

If you happen to have an old antenna lying around somewhere, feel free to connect it up to see what channels you can get right now. If you need to buy an antenna, be sure to check out someone like AntennaWeb to be sure you get the right one for the right price. https://antennaweb.org/
