This TV will run anything you put into it, but you're better to run it through your receiver so you can get your 5.1 or higher audio running through it. I will save that. The normal speakers that come with the TV are among some of the best TV speakers I have ever heard in my life. They are that good. However, you still need to have a proper sound system attached to this TV. Any TV of this size would be an injustice to not be hooked up to an audio video receiver and having a full surround sound and Atmos set up.
