The update is supposed to be released by or on the 30th of September. Yes you will be able to use HDR from the XB1S and it will work via HDMI. You will not be able to use Netflix and get HDR however from the tv's built in app. If you stream Netflix from the XB1S's Netflix app, then you will get HDR. The update has just been released for similar model tv's overseas and its been confirmed to work pretty much as Hisense has promised.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it now supports HDR10 for Xbox One S.. Contact Hisense-USA via Facebook and they will send you a link via email with instructions on how to update with a USB stick.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hisense did not release the firmware as promised. It was supposed to be in September sometime. There was a delay which led to them saying the end of September. I contacted Hisense today and they said this h8c series tv's along with h7c series are incompatible with the Xbox One S HDR mode. The HDR on the Xbox one S is 10bit and this tv only has 8bit. No HDR for us Xbox One S users. The HDR on this tv isn't True HDR anyways because the TV can't get to the proper brightness level to achieve true HDR. Also the 50h8c input lag is 141ms when in game mode and that's horrible for gaming.
