• Should just plug in an HDMI cable to your TV and cable box. Change the input to whichever HDMI port you plugged it into. Cable should be working then.

• I highly recommend do get the Apple TV. Unfortunately this TV does not have the capabilities to get the Direct TV app. However, you could use an Xbox one and if you have a receiver link to the Xbox that might work also.
