I have both this tv and DirectTv and I cannot get the 4K to work. I just got DirectTV installed last week so I have the equipment that one might need like the 4K genie's and such. I had a technician out yesterday (6/27) and he could not get it to work and blamed the tv. My Xbox S plays games and 4k content fine on it (have to use Hi Speed port 3 or 4) but hook up a Direct TV signal to one of the ports and you either won't get a picture or you will get something like 480p. If you do get a full 4k picture it will not last then you get a pop up message saying your tv does not support 4k. You can plug into port 1 or 2 but you only get a 1080p resolution and no 4k. It's very irritating! Not sure who to blame but I think it might be a HDCP issue between the tv and the DirectTV box. I do have the latest firmware installed so theoretically it should work but it doesn't.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I know you need an HDMI port that is 2.2 compatible, which The H series tv's either come with or can be updated by software. I don't know about the clients, though. Might be something you would want to talk to Directv about. I would email them instead of calling tech support.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a relative that works for directv in technical support. She states that you will need to use the 2.2 hdmi port, which should be on the latest models and I think can be added by software update to models that don't have 2.2, to view 4K on Directv. My older I mean older H6,7 and 8, but not 100% on the software update, so call Hisense to make sure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello DirectTvCustomer, You are able to view 4K content, but you must have both the Main Genie client and The Mini Genie client. For further info, please give us a call at 888-935-8880. Thanks, Hisense
