• HDMI hookup is intended to be controlled by the TV so you're only using one remote control. If you want to control the soundbar with the sound bar remote use Bluetooth.

• Don't know..... But like the one answer already provided... I did use the blue tooth. But you don't get a strong or complete sound from the soundbar if you do that. It is better to hook it up with HDMI or the optical cord.
