The black levels on the H9F is equivalent to Oled!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It’s good compared to the older Vizio I had with 30 zones of full array back lighting. But no where near my experience with OLEDs. The halo around object when the tv is bright is very noticeable but if you’ve ever used a bright OLED in a dark room this is also true but it’s an optical illusion created by the eye. Either way I’d say it’s an amazing display of what can be done with 130 or so zones of lighting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a Samsung in the bedroom and this H9F in the living room. IMHO, the black levels on the Hisense are better. Blacks are truly blaaaaack!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My comparison is a 10 year old Panasonic plasma. It definitely has higher contrast with the appearance of great black levels. I haven't done any scientific tests. My eyes, at least, notice contrast more than absolute blackness. I have noticed some degree of halo effect when looking at a static image with bright spots on a dark field. However, nothing was noticeable in regular usage with moving pictures (the primary use for my TV).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.StarVoyagerMan, the black levels on the H9F are nowhere near as good as OLED. The black levels on the Vizio P-Series Quantum (2019) are better than the H9F and the Vizio can't beat OLED in black level and contrast.
