“How do I turn on closed captioning/subtitles? When I push the CC button on the remote nothing happens. I have looked in the settings menu and can nothing about subtitles anywhere. Please help. Thank you.”

If you're in an app like Amazon prime video when the videos playing pause it and go up and you'll see the settings for closed captions and turn it off most apps have their own closed caption settings now if you're watching local TV off antenna that's a separate setting while you're watching you should be able to pull up a menu button or something like that and turn it off if it comes on. Sounds like Hisense had it set by default but I've been in YouTube before and it is gone back to closed caption on its own and had to change it back.
