“Is the 43.5" measurement between stand legs measured at the front or at the back of the stand? The legs appear to be farther apart at the front. This is a critical measurement for placement on my mantle.”

Search on amazon for "tabletop tv stand" There are many smaller options for stands to use on a large TV without having to buy a new piece of furniture.
