“I've heard that this TV uses a lot of power and runs hot, temperature wise. Has anyone noticed any dramatic spikes in electricity bills or if the tv itself gets hot? I would mount it on the wall so I am a bit concerned about how hot it may get. Thanks.”

it does not get that hot. i think that is being over dramatized. the tv uses about 50 more watts that most tv's but your also powering a lot more tv. i have mine mounted and never had a single issue in the past 2 months.
